We collect only what's necessary to generate and store your notes. We don't sell data, we don't train AI models on your content, and you remain in full control of what's saved.
We don't record therapy sessions.

AfterSession uses HIPAA-eligible cloud services to transcribe and structure clinical documentation.
Audio and text inputs are processed only for the purpose of generating draft session notes. Audio recordings are deleted after processing and are never retained.
We do not use customer data to train public AI models, and we do not allow third parties to use your data for model training.
Clinicians maintain full control over all notes and must review and approve content before it is saved.

We use Amplitude for analytics to understand how the service is used and to improve it. For email delivery, we use Resend. These services may process limited data (such as email addresses or anonymized usage events) on our behalf to provide their functionality.
Your saved notes remain in your account until you delete them. Any temporary data used during processing is minimized and not retained longer than necessary to provide the service. Temporary processing data is deleted automatically after processing is complete.
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege principles for internal access. Our infrastructure is hosted on US-based, HIPAA-eligible cloud services.
